Audience/Authorial Fallacies

Audience and authorial fallacies can occur when we write about advertisements and published material. Audience fallacies occur when one assumes what audience the advertisement is “targeting”. Authorial fallacies occur when one assumes who the author or creator is of the advertisement and his or her motives behind creating the advertisement. It is necessary to stick to the text and refer only to what is shown in the advertisement.
